February 8th, 2010 by my2cents

Why do you need Glyco-nutrient

Glyconutrients  is a term which people who have done biology in their high school may also have not heard of. The term used is bodybuilding lingo to refer to the exact sugar types and compounds almost the same as sugar that are needed for the body to work properly. Biology describes all of these compounds as having specific and unique roles in our bodies.

Doing Arnold Schwarzenegger Bodybuilding nutrition style.

The body itself can manufacture Glyconutrients but the science tends to dictate to us that the amounts are usually insufficient if the diet itself does not supply them. Even though these are just claims and not have been proven biologically, these substances when supplemented with the diets brought out better health in a lot of bodybuilders.

Glucose is the most significant of the sugars. The body uses this to provide energy to allow the bodies organs to function properly. Additionally, glucose is synthesized to make other crucial compounds that include those utilized as a source of energy, and it’s utilized to make other vital substances for instance the other Glyconutrients.  The body’s glucose supply must be in the manner that allows continual bloodstream absorption throughout the day. You should pick foods with a low glycemic content, since your body will absorb them more slowly and evenly. There are many foods that could be included, such as bread, peas, beans, and other fruits and vegetables. Foods high in starch are digested to make glucose.

There is usually enough glucose in day to day eating, but low carb meals tend to cause glucose deficiency.

Glyconutrients may be essential for the basis of a healthy body using the sugars that help the immune system. Their creation of blood sugar can be so slow problems can occur. These might include Fucose, Xylose, Mannose, N-Acetylgalactosamine acid, N-Acetyleneuraminic and N-Acetylglucosamine acid.

Glyconutrients assist each other by vital body function performance including tissue growth and maintenance and organ development. Once the organs are injured or diseased by this, their repair and reconstruction is also facilitated for.
They are employed by the central nervous system and also the organs used for sensing - for example sensing light via the retina in the eyes.
They are utilized by the immune system to control and regulate the system’s inner workings and additionally to identify dangerous foreign bodies which must be destroyed.
Intracellular structures have these corner stones, especially the cartilage, connective tissue and the tendons. In this case the N-glucosamine is the one responsible for this area.
The microorganisms are prevented by mannose and xylose from fastening themselves to the body organs. It facilitates the washing away of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Many organs require Glyconutrients to perform efficiently. Generally speaking the result of all this is that a person starts getting various diseases. It interferes with healing and recovery from injury.

Glyconutrient deficiency is linked to diseases and Infections. This disorder contains the following: Allergies, problem with your heart, Cancer, Breathing problem,Stroke.

Vegetables and certain fruits contain glyconutrients. A lot of vegetables like cabbage, turnips, eggplant, tomatoes, kelp, green beans and even mushrooms and aloe vera fit into the category. Amongst the fruits are black currant, gooseberries, red currants, and many more.

Benefits of Liquid Vitamins

February 6th, 2010 by my2cents

Vitamins and minerals can be absorbed by the body in a number of ways. They first enter our body through the food we eat. Secondly, we can take vitamin supplements to increase the amount of pertinent vitamins and minerals. There are different methods of taking medication and one of the most common methods is absorbing it in its liquid form. Do the advantages of liquid vitamins far outweigh its disadvantages – if there are any? Read on and find out.

Better or Easier Absorption for Kids
Although liquid vitamins may taste worse than vitamins in flavored, chewable tablet forms, they are however easier to absorb. There are numerous cases in which children have problems with choking, breathing and swallowing simply because of their inability to absorb medication or vitamins in this form.

This is the same problem as well for adults who have lost their ability to control their jaws or are unable to digest anything that is not in liquid form.

Liquid Vitamins are More Effective
Because of its form, liquid vitamins can be assimilated immediately into the blood stream for a more systemic administration of the vitamin and its average absorption rate is approximately 90 to 98%. It is also three to five times more concentrated than vitamin pills and this lead to higher bio-activity and greater therapeutic benefits.

The Link between Antioxidants and Liquid Vitamins
Have you ever wondered whether or not liquid vitamins contained oxidants as well? Vitamins E, C and A are examples of antioxidants and they are commonly found in vitamin supplements but what about liquid vitamins?

And the answer is an absolute YES. Liquid vitamins must in fact contain such antioxidants or they’ll prove to be ineffective compared to other vitamins. Remember that the most important of all antioxidants – Vitamins A, C and E – are not internally produced by the body so they must be a regular fixture in our diet. Antioxidants are our main defense against effects of damaging oxidation reactions. Antioxidants are our best weapons against suffering from any form of cancer. Without it, we are basically weaker and less healthy.

Liquid Vitamins versus Digestive Acids
One reason why people refuse to acknowledge the benefits of liquid vitamins is because of the supposed destruction by digestive acids of any vitamin or mineral that it does not recognize as part of the process of digestion. The opposite is, in fact true. Our digestive system actually prefers or is able to better absorb liquid vitamins and minerals rather than those made in pill or capsule form.

A vitamin pill or tablet has to be digested completely before it can benefit the human body. It must be broken down into absorbable nutrients or only up to thirty percent of it will be absorbed by the human body. Liquid vitamins however provide a better and easier solution for the digestive system. Because it does not depend in any way on mechanical digestion, an estimated 90% of it can be absorbed directly by the body.

It’s vital to remember that digestion does not mainly function to destroy vitamins and minerals but rather to transform them into substances it can use to improve the general constitution of the body.

Liquid Vitamins: Toxic or Not?
Another problem posed is the amount of colloidal minerals found in liquid vitamins. Are they harmful or not?

In truth, even plants and fruits contain a trace of such minerals in them. Apples, for instance, contain 3-5 mg of aluminum as it’s one of the most abundant elements that can be found in the surface of the Earth. But do you hear anyone telling you that apples are dangerous to your health? On the contrary, what we are more likely to hear is that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

And so it must be with liquid vitamins as well. Containing a slight amount of colloidal mineral doesn’t mean it’s bad for our health right away. Colloidal minerals, are above all else, naturally occurring elements and can not therefore be avoided.

You Have a Choice
At the end of the day, however, it’s still up to you whether or not you wish to take vitamin supplements in liquid or solid form. What really matters is what you prefer and which will ultimately work better for you.

February 2nd, 2010 by my2cents

As we have a tendency to get on in years, who isn’t making an attempt to stay young, to carry the line on aging? And where do we tend to see our age and fret our age more, than in our skin? I’d like to share with you some general anti aging skin care treatment that will

keep your skin young and healthy, and recommend some natural anti aging skin products that build a massive distinction as well.

The health of our skin reflects many factors. Some we will’t control, however others we tend to will and

should. Heredity and environment, for example, may be operating against you. But you’re not going to go away the city simply to urge clean, dewy skin. And if a bound swarthiness is in your genes, there’s not a lot

of you can do regarding it. But let’s take a look at the anti aging skin care that

you simply CAN do – and there’s a ton – to bring your skin to a whole new level.

Water – Water – yes water – is your best anti aging medicine. You would like to drink a minimum of 8 full glasses of spring or well water daily. Your body is

75% water, and your skin may be a moist, elastic medium that needs to be kept hydrated naturally – from within. Your skin’s thirst for this inner

hydration will’t be happy by just rubbing in creams or lotions on the outside. You wish to follow this “initial commandment of skin care”

if you would like to get the super edges that anti aging creams and other products

conjointly offer.

Natural Creams – Several anti aging creams – even the foremost expensive ones – have a base of mineral oil, and are loaded with artificial preservatives and coloring. Just study the labels. You need bifocals and a lab coat simply to read them! Need I say

additional? I get many compliments on my soft skin, and invariably the identical query: what do you employ on it? First I tell people regarding water, lots of recent air and

exercise, and moderate exposure to sunlight. Then I buy down to specific anti aging solutions.

Real Aloe Vera – Heaps of products boast that they contain aloe vera – so why do we suppose we will improve upon nature? I am going right to the source, and keep an aloe vera plant growing in my bathroom. It’s a reasonably

plant, it’s easy to care for, and you just discontinue a piece of leaf and

out gushes the wonderful contemporary gel. My friends and nursing colleagues all report the identical excitement the first time they rub in an

exceedingly gel directly from their plants. And they report that it’s the best anti aging product they’ve ever used – and one that you

only can’t get from a store-bought jar or tube.

Aloe vera is actually potent. It’s stuffed with moisture, protein, vitamins and minerals – antiaging nutrients that give your skin deep, thorough hydration.

Cleopatra is understood to have used aloe vera on her skin, and if you overlook her very little snake bite, you must admit: she

was quite successful story!

Olive Oil – When my skin is very dry I conjointly apply olive oil, and use olive oil soap over my entire body. Of course, such were the wonderful results I got from olive oil, that I created my own anti aging personal care cosmetic – a soap which is ninety% olive oil, and smooth beyond

belief. (Aloe vera, oddly enough, will generally create a superficial drying impact, which olive oil quickly smoothes out.) Besides anti aging

effects, aloe vera adds proteins, minerals and water to your skin.

Application of Creams – I forever tell friends to not rub in their oils and creams in an exceedingly bored hum-drum

way. You need to really massage it in, giving yourself pleasure and stimulating your circulation. Indeed - it’s best to create all

your health practices emotional. It’s this zest that produces the magic connection between body, mind, heart and soul. So –

once we’re operating to create ourselves younger and prettier, please ladies - let’s make it an anti aging exercise - not act as if

we tend to’re ironing socks!

Natural Progesterone Cream – We have a tendency to mention this last, but positively not least, for it is really the “Queen” of anti

aging products. This all-natural cream suffuses your body with progesterone, the anti aging hormone that turns girls into ladies and gives that stunning glow to pregnant women. A natural progesterone hormone cream, such as Prosperine, delivers the right dosage of progesterone derived from the Mexican

wild yam. Besides providing a protective quality against breast cancer, it splendidly tones your skin and retards the aging process. Like drinking water, this is an approach that works from the within out – the right approach, the natural way.

Learning to Choose Healthy Foods

February 1st, 2010 by my2cents

Today’s hectic and demanding lifestyle as well as the emergence of convenient stores is among the major reasons why people skip their healthy meals. After learning how to depend on fast food stores and convenience stores, it is easier for people to just grab a food that contains less nutrition compared to those foods that matter.

With all these drastic changes in the habit of eating, food preparation and food options, people have become more prone to various diseases because their bodies fail to absorb the nutrients it needs. Contrary to common conception, healthy foods need not to be expensive, rare or hard to prepare. In fact, most of these recommended foods for healthy living is cheaper, abundant, and easier to prepare compared to those that can be bought in the nearest convenient store.

Why Choose Healthy Foods?

Most food and nutrition experts say that healthy eating is not about what people cannot eat, it is about what people could eat in order to get the optimum nutrition that their bodies need.

If you are one of those who are on their way of learning to eat healthy foods, the best valuable thing that you can do when buying inside the grocery store or super market is to pick those that are fresh, unprocessed and whole. This is very ideal especially if you plan to buy fruit and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, and sprouts.

Considered as live foods, being fresh ensures that the food still contain the greatest amount of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that provides the body with optimum nutrition. Make sure that you eat fruits that are fresh, dried without sulfur dioxide or frozen without preservatives and avoid eating fruits that are canned and in heavy syrup because these have preservatives, additives, and sweeteners. Also, eat veggies that are fresh or raw, lightly steamed, baked and dried without sulfur and avoid eating veggies that are frozen with preservatives, additives, sweeteners.

Always opt for fresh sprouts and avoid veggies that are fried or overcooked. When it comes to grains, opt for whole grain products that are unprocessed, nonirradiated, non genetically modified, sugar free, no chemical additives, no preservatives and other whole grain & sprouted grain products like bread, muffins, tortillas, cereals, and pasta, crackers. Avoid products with white flour, unbleached flour, enriched flour, sweeteners, chemical additives, refined and processed grains, white rice, quick oats, instant oatmeal, and instant cereals.

When it comes to legumes, choose beans, peas, lentils, and chickpeas. Avoid using canned legumes prepared without animal fat, with chemical additives, sweeteners, pork and beans, and soybeans. Nuts and seeds such as almonds, filberts, pine nuts, cashews, raw seeds, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, raw nut butters, and tahini should be eaten raw. Avoid eating dry roasted nuts and seeds. Also, make sure that you choose animal foods such as eggs, poultry and other meat that are free range, hormone and antibiotic free as well as grass fed. In fish, opt for those that have the lowest exposure to mercury.

Aside from this, you should always consider eating organic foods over to those commercially-produced ones. Nutritionists say that organic foods are indeed the purest and healthiest foods out there because they are not yet contaminated with pesticides and have higher percentage of nutrition.

Lastly, learning to read and check the label of the food item that you are about to buy is one of the best ways to ensure that you will be eating healthy food. Checking if the item is properly labeled - especially these are pre-packaged - is your main defense and protection against possible adverse effects and unwanted ingredients or contents.
